Dubbo City Hockey Club providing a friendly club for you and your family to enjoy hockey for years to come.

VALUES

Dubbo City Hockey Club’s values are what we stand for and what is important to us and what will be important to our members in the future. They are as follows:-

Fair play
A fair go for all skill levels
Supporting youth and the not so young to achieve sporting goals
Friendly people who do not tolerate any bullying, abuse or unfair play
Social inclusion on and off the field
Reward for extra participation

COMMITMENT

Member commitments

To participate in as many matches as I can as a player. If I can’t make a game, I will let my team organiser know as soon as I do
To understand there may be bench time if more than a full team is available to play
To play fairly with our Club’s reputation in mind
To make a contribution to the running of the Club, no matter how small that is
To attend training when I can
To commit to one social event at least each season to support the Club’s sponsor
To support our sponsor by actively using their services and recommending others to visit
To support each other on the field, no matter what, as we are not all at the same skill level
To never argue with an umpire/official and accept decisions as part of the game
To appreciate and applaud all good play whether made by your team or the opposition
To accept victory or defeat without being boastful or bitter
To pay my fees on time
To have fun
To report any issues to the Club via, “Contact Us” on the website or directly to a committee member.

To provide a rewards points system for “doing your bit” for the Club

MEMBERSHIP DISCLAIMER

1. Release and Indemnity: In consideration of the Club accepting my application for membership, to the extent permitted by law, I:-

(a) Release and will release the Dubbo City Hockey Club from all claims that I may have or may have had but for this release arising from, or in connection with, my membership and/or participation in any hockey activities; and

(b) Indemnify and will keep indemnified the Dubbo City Hockey Club in respect of any claim by any person arising as a result of, or in connection with, my membership and/or participation in any hockey activities.

2. I will be bound by and agree to comply with the constitutions, regulations and policies of the Club.

3. I acknowledge that I am exposed to certain risks and that accidents may happen which may result in me being injured, or my property being damaged.

4. I declare that I am medically and physically fit and able to participate in any hockey activities. I will immediately notify the Club of any change to my medical condition, fitness or ability to participate.

PRIVACY COLLECTION STATEMENT

This information may be stored in part or in full on HockeyNet and may be used by the Club, Association, State Association and/or Hockey Australia. Any personal information provided will only be used in accordance with the objects and purposes of Hockey NSW, Hockey Australia general business and in relation to HockeyNet. If the requested personal information is not provided, you may not be able to receive the benefits of registration with the HockeyNet system. Individuals will be able to access their personal information through Hockey NSW upon reasonable notice.

PLAYER DECLARATION

I hereby agree to abide by the rules of the Dubbo City Hockey Club. I declare I am not a member of any other Dubbo hockey club involving the nominated sport. I further agree to release the Dubbo City Hockey Club and any of its office bearers, agents or representatives from any and all liability for any loss or damage, including consequential loss, which may arise in respect of, or incidental to its operations, including without limiting the foregoing, any liability arising from any negligent act or omission of the Dubbo City Hockey Club or its representatives, or any personal or property injury caused by the participation in any event organised by the Club or its representatives or whilst using the facilities of the Club.

PUBLICITY

I agree that my and/or my child’s photograph and/or audio visual recording may be taken and used by the Dubbo City Hockey Club, newspapers or newsletters for publicity purposes such as brochures/flyers or electronic media such as Dubbo City Hockey Club website or Facebook. I agree for their full name to be published.
